I've been absent from this blog for quite a while because I have been busy baking the newest addition to our family. That is right - in April next year our family of three will be extending to a family of four.
It was such a wonderful surprise. We found out I was pregnant the week before we flew out to Fiji for Nick's cousin's wedding. I was anxious about going as I was horrendously ill with Aurelia right from the outset and I had no idea how far along I was when I tested positive.
In hindsight it was the perfect timing - even a couple of weeks later would have been a complete disaster as I was violently unwell by the time we returned to Sydney.
I was petrified to become pregnant again knowing it was likely that I would have hyperemesis again, which I have, but I know how wonderful the outcome is at the end.
I am seeing a high risk obstetrician who is taking excellent care of me. I have already had hospital visits with many more scheduled but if that is what it takes to grow our little one, so be it.
Hyperemesis gravidarum can be read about at Help HER.ORG because it is NOT the same as morning sickness - not even close. Thankfully people are generally being more understanding and helpful this time around - like not wearing perfume, deoderant or soap if they come to visit :)
So I think a pretty good reason for neglecting the blog. I will come back and share about our time in Fiji because the Yasawa Islands were truely paradise.

Congrats! Hope the baby-growing all goes well for you :)
