Mind Games

Chouette on Weheart it
I am not a fan of mind games. People who know me know that's not my style or my personality. I am a 'tell you what I think' kind of person. I like to be honest and like others to show me the same respect. Always tactful but direct.

This is why I am not enjoying the process of buying a house. If you are reading and nodding your head I would love to read about your experiences in the comments section below.

There are so many variables. Working out what the vendor wants, how the real estate agent works. I hate it. HATE it.

But I love the house.

Bring on more mind games tomorrow

  1. I just bought half of a flat with my mum's help. I totally know what you mean. If my sister wasn't a conveyancing solicitor, I don't know what I would have done. She just said, 'Just answer questions when I ask you and sign what I give you to sign'. If I got an email I would send it to her, she would write my reply and I'd forward it on.

That's not much help for you really. But from a professional point of view, I always find it useful to think that each (paid) person in the transaction is just doing their job. It's worth it to try and prdict what they will do based on what you know their motivation is (for example, getting the highest price possible because of their reputation and commission). We can get professionally upset, but it's not worth it to take things to heart.

The only problem is, home is where the heart is! And that's why it is so stressful to buy a home. Good luck xxx
