Your girlfriends make up purse - in no way travel related.

I used to really love getting ready to go out with the girls because it gave me a chance to peek inside other people's make up bags and see what little gems they had found and tucked away.

I could still check out the products people use but that would mean a secret rummage through the bathroom cabinet while on a toilet stop and that's just weird. Anyway now a days that doesn't happen very often only because most of my friends have kids and getting together to hit the town and check out each others make up bags doesn't seem to happen. Some days I am lucky to check my own make up bag.We are more likely to be discussing the best childcare centre, dance classes or toilet training step/stool.

Anyway today being on holidays I found myself wandering through Priceline and picking up a few bits and pieces, none budget breaking, which I had read about on other people's blogs. Yes it seems that my friends blogs have in fact become their virtual make up bag.

I personally don't mind the occasional sponsored blog post, and don't despair if you don't like them - we have no sponsors on this blog so ain't going to happen here, and I love a personal recommendation.

So here is a collection of a few newbies I picked up and thought I would try. This one I stole from Amy's make up purse. She's a scientist and always looks gorgeous in photos so figured she knew what she was talking about. Ooh and it seems like it has won a few rewards and it is natural - bonus

I also found this product and secretly hoped that I might be able to use this and have more sleep ins on week days. Shameful I know but soon it is going to be really dark and cold in the morning. Yep I have never used dry shampoo but soon that will be a thing of the past. Anyone else love this?

Then I went on and picked up this. Admittedly I was skeptical because if this does everything it claims to then why do they sell other products like base coats and top coats separately? But I have the saddest fingernails ever so, fingers crossed!

Then my mum shouted me this which won the 2010 Beauty Award for Mineral Makeup. This is  my first venture into mineral makeup having been a liquid foundation kind of girl previously.

So now I had best go and try out my new products.
