Catching Up

Tonight I am catching up with some old friends I used to work with and I am so looking forward to it.

One of my friends set off to investigate life overseas in a similar way to us and this is the first time I will have seen him since he got back.

I love the sharing of travel stories. Birth stories are always interesting to listen to in a bunch of women but travel stories are the best whether it is the funny, drunken story or the description of that amazing landscape, dive experience or meal in Italy.

Travel stories also have a way of taking on a life of their own. All of a sudden that mountain is higher, the trek was longer, the overhead clouds become a blizzard and that basic but clean backpackers room becomes a semblance of Changi Prison.

Catching up to share travel stories reminded me that I still haven't shared all of mine and since we are currently researching our next trip I had best get around and finish them off.

It will be good practice for tonight
